Professionals and Employers

I've provided training for Early Help and Social Workers, Police, Probation Service, Violence Reduction Network, Youth Justice, counsellors, GPs, children's homes, youth workers, school nurses and many more. Since 2020 I've delivered quarterly 'Practitioners ADHD Toolkit' full-day multi-agency training to front line workers on behalf of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Safeguarding Children Partnerships.
Also for companies/organisations including Network Rail, Cadent, Pinsent Masons, Haringey London Borough Council, Druck Ltd and Leicester City Football Club.

Staff training packages are designed to enhance your knowledge, understanding and confidence and provide you with practical day-to-day ideas and strategies appropriate to your role or setting.

Available face-to-face or virtually* as (A) up to 2-hours, (B) half day or (C) full day. PDF copies of all the PowerPoint presentations are provided.

(A) Up to 2-hours (recommended minimum 90-minutes).
We explore what ADHD is, how it presents and why, including: • How the ADHD brain is different • The impact on executive functioning (daily living skills) • Assessment/Diagnosis • ADHD medication • Positive traits of ADHD.
The strategies will be tailored towards working with children, young people, families or adults as most appropriate for you.

B) Half day (up to 4-hours). Includes all the above, allows more time for questions/discussion and look in more depth at key areas of interest for you.

(C) Full day (up to 6-hours). Can include everything above and allows the greatest amount of flexibility to tailor the session to your needs e.g. reflection, group discussions, case studies, forward planning.

In addition I provide ADHD: A Practical Guide and Toolkit for Professionals multi-agency training online. This two x 2.25-hour session course is ideal if you are a practitioner who would like to increase your confidence in supporting clients with ADHD and build an ADHD-friendly 'tool kit' of ideas and strategies. It's appropriate for those working with children, young people, parents/carers, adults and their families.

It's based on the multi-agency training I've been providing for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Safeguarding Children Partnerships for the last six years.
